Team Teach training will help you to:

  • understand behaviour as a form of communication

  • ensure all your staff are confident in their approaches to behaviour support and equipped to make complex decisions when needed
  • know that all training meets required legal standards and expectations
  • reduce classroom disruptions and associated risks
  • ensure everyone is provided with a safe, health learning environment

Intervention approaches.

Behaviour Support Training – Level One:

You’ll learn how to safely and appropriately respond to behaviour from a toolkit of non-physical, theoretical interventions and you’ll also learn simple and safe physical intervention techniques including personal safety and disengagements (if required by your setting). Our techniques are respectful, supportive and help you maintain positive relationships.

Behaviour Support Training – Level Two:

In addition to the Level One course content, you’ll become confident in a range of guides and escorts and holding skills (restraint techniques) in standing, sitting and kneeling positions safely, appropriate for your service setting needs, which focus on maximum care and respect, minimum force.

Online courses available:

You can also choose from a number of online, Level One Behaviour Training (non-physical) courses, to help everyone in your school or setting feel confident with behaviour support.

Please note, our online courses are delivered via Zoom (9am to 4pm) and participants will gain a Level One Behaviour Training (non-physical) certificate, valid for 3 years.

For groups of staff who attend an online course, additional face to face training is needed to cover the physical modules if required for your setting. Minimum numbers and additional costs may apply.
